  Train where you live
  This concept is aimed at bringing teacher training to you, wherever you live in our region. Our partnership with Red Kite means that wherever you train, you will be part of the same programme and teacher training community.

  Bespoke training program
  The strength of our partnerships allows us to deliver high quality, first class training which is bespoke and personalised to your needs.

  Layered support
  Throughout your course training will come from:
  • – Placement class teachers. There’s no doubt that you’ll be learning from the very best.
    – Personal Red Kite Trainee Progress Leaders. Your personal leader will be there to support you at each stage of the course. You’ll meet regularly at Red Kite Hub Days; they’ll visit you in your placement schools and are always available by telephone and email to offer support when you need it.
    – In-school Mentors. Your mentor will meet with you weekly to discuss your progress.
    – Weekly emails. A weekly individual email from Red Kite will let you know what’s coming up, keeping you on-track.

  Academic support – Red Kite are the only provider working with the University of Leeds and from September 2021 the learning experience with them will be blended to allow our trainees to work remotely wherever they live, regardless of which one of our training partners they applied through.
